How to Create a US iTunes Account

If you would like to buy from the US iTunes Store, you will need to set up a US iTunes Account.

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to create one in just minutes. If you get stuck, click on the thumbnails for additional guidance.

 

 Step 1: Open iTunes and click on “iTunes Store” in the top right hand corner

Step 2: If you’re logged into iTunes, sign out of your account

Step 3: Scroll down to the bottom right of the iTunes Store page and click on the flag icon

Step 4: Click on the United States flag

Step 5: Click on the “App Store” button in the menu section

Step 6: Find a Free App and click on the “Get” button

Step 7: Click on “Create Apple ID”

Step 8: Click on “Continue”

Step 9: Check the “I have read and agree to these terms and conditions” box and click on “Agree”

Step 10: Fill in the required fields and click on “Continue”

Step 11: You will need a valid US address and phone number for the next step. To get this, go to Google Maps (www.maps.google.com) and find any US hotel or business address

Step 12: For the Payment Type, select “None”. Under the Billing Address section, insert your name and the US address and phone number you acquired from Step 11. Click on “Create Apple ID”

Step 13: Check your email inbox for a verification email

Step 14: Click on the “Verify Now” link

Step 15: Click on “OK”

Step 16: Insert your email and password and click on “Verify Address”
